Our concrete CSR actions - social angle

Nouvelle Vague

10 minutes

In 2018, a real awareness emerged at Nouvelle Vague regarding environmental issues. We tell you everything on our CSR commitment page.

In 2019, we conducted a CSR audit through the organization Planet’RSE. Following the achievement of a score of 548 points corresponding to a “confirmed” level, the agency now aims for maturity and has since engaged in a process of continuous improvement.

In 2022, another CSR audit again through the organization Planet’RSE. We have made good progress. Nouvelle Vague now totals 722 points out of 1000 and becomes a company with a MATURE CSR approach!

All our actions today are based on 3 angles, true pillars of each of our CSR commitments (Corporate Social Responsibility): the social angle, the societal angle, the environmental angle.

In this article, we present to you the initiatives, commitments, projects and concrete actions related to the social angle.

Well-being at work requires an adapted, healthy and respectful environment

  • We have designed our new offices so that they are functional and pleasant to work in (Thank you Decod heure).

The open spaces are complemented by strong>soundproof spaces for making phone calls to ensure they remain pleasant to live in throughout the day.

  • The agency, designed for 32 workstations, includes 8 collaborative spaces independent of the open spaces, which constantly promotes the quality and friendliness of exchanges.

  • We have decided to equip all employees with the same ergonomic chair out of concern for equity.

  • Desktop phones have been replaced by mobile phones allowing each person to isolate themselves when starting a conversation. These phones also improve the comfort of remote work for employees.

  • A charter has allowed each employee to work remotely one day a week since 2017. This possibility increased to 2 days in June 2020 following the Covid-19 lockdown event.

  • Employees have access to a modern and bright break/kitchen room fully equipped, as well as small alcoves for isolating.

  • bean-to-cup coffee machine as well as a filtered water fountain (cold/sparkling/hot water) are available for free use in the break room. A selection of loose leaf tea completes the assortment.

  • The agency offers employees who wish to participate the services of a sports coach for a one-hour strength training session every Tuesday at noon.

  • The BAG (Bureau d’Agence Géniale) A team of 3 to 4 collaborators, renewed each year, is responsible for to animate the agency's life as occasions arise. Social gatherings are organized, birthdays are celebrated, and activities punctuate the year with fun and convivial moments. The BAG has a specific operating budget allocated to it at the beginning of each year.

  • Every year, we organize a Day-off. This day takes place exclusively outside of the agency. It allows the team to review the performance of the past year and the prospects for the upcoming year. After this overall point on the agency's strategy, the whole team shares fun moments that strengthen internal cohesion. This Day-off is traditionally concluded with a festive evening.

  • We revised in 2021 the calculation formula of our profit-sharing contract. This contract allows employees to collectively benefit from 11% of the current result before tax from the first euro of profit.

  • A meeting of staff representatives (CSE) is held every month, addressing employees' concerns. Requests are handled and the minutes are made available to everyone in the following days in a dedicated book.

  • Nouvelle Vague covers 55% of public transport subscriptions for its employees, as well as a monthly bonus of €10 for two-wheeled transport.

  • We subscribe to the Nantes Métropole mobility package allowing our employees to benefit from a 20% discount on their TAN subscription for the first year.

Gender equality requires equal treatment, quite simply

  • We respect gender parity at work. The agency has more women than men (60%). We do not practice any differences in terms of remuneration for equivalent positions. Our 4 highest responsibility positions are occupied by women  : the management of the consulting department, the management of the creative department, the management of the social media department, and the management of the administrative and financial department.

Skills development fosters a positive dynamic and a desire to evolve

  • We regularly train our teams by calling on external experts to the agency and also by encouraging self-training internally: sharing best practices and methods, raising awareness of trends and developments. We consistently exceed conventional budgets reserved for training. Especially through the end-of-year individual interviews, but not only, we listen to the training needs and wishes expressed by the team.

  • Every year, each employee has an annual interview with the President, a time for exchange where both parties discuss transparently (review of the past year, training wishes, etc.)

  • 99% of employees have taken the CSR training provided by Open Lande on environmental issues and solutions.

  • The fight against corruption is part of the fundamental principles of the company. The Consulting team and the Management are certified by the e-learning training of CONSCIO Technologies since April 2021.
